The workshop «Filling the gaps – from microscopic pore structures to transport properties in shales» will be on July 5th, 2015 just before the Euroclay-2015 icebreaker. http://www.euroclay2015.org/Workshop
This one-day workshop was initiated by two different groups sharing the same idea of trying to learn more about the understanding of pore structures and transport properties in shales: The clay-radwaste community and the oil shale community. The program of workshop will include 13 invited talks and poster session. These posters will be part of a follow-on session during Euroclay “From microscopic pore structures to transport properties in shales (workshop follow on session),http://www.euroclay2015.org/sessions/microscopic-pore-structures-transport-properties-shales-workshop-follow-session”) which will be on Monday July 6th, 2015. Abstract is valid for both, the workshop plus the Euroclay session. The workshop is part of the conference, so to register for the workshop a delegate/or student has to register for at least a one day conference rate for the Monday (or for the whole conference).
Fee for students are very attractive: Please note that there is a cost-waiver for students (£0) for the workshop, available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Extended abstracts can be published after peer review together with the contributions of the invited speakers as in a CMS workshop lecture series book. All papers will be made available as open access without any additional charge. More information can be found on the website.
